HOMOGENIZES SALIVA SAMPLES FOR SARS-COV-2 TESTING TO INCREASE SENSITIVITY AND EASE OF PROCESSING
BeadBoost™ Bead Mill Homogenizer
Saliva is a desired sample type for SARS-CoV-2 testing due to the easy and non-invasive nature of collecting samples. PerkinElmer’s optimized saliva detection workflow includes the BeadBoost™ Bead Mill homogenizer. Adding a homogenization step with the BeadBoost™ Bead Mill homogenizer prior to nucleic acid isolation simplifies the processing of saliva samples and increases the sensitivity of SARS-CoV-2 detection in these samples.
The BeadBoost™ Bead Mill homogenizer vigorously and uniformly shakes up to 24 tubes at a time providing the efficient, consistent homogenization needed to obtain high yields of viral RNA during nucleic acid isolation. It also does not require a cool down period between runs allowing more samples to be processed quickly.
Simultaneously homogenize up to 24 samples at a time
Convenient front-loading tube holder position for ease of use and optimal bead/sample interactions
Processing range is ideal for saliva samples
No cool-down required between runs = non-stop processing
Disposable tubes ensure no threat of cross-contamination
No sample degradation due to quick processing
Features an integrated lid lock

The design of the BeadBoost™ Bead Mill homogenizer reduces swirling resulting in a high bead impact force increasing its processing efficiency.
